I saw your cookie swap show on one of the cable food networks. Unfortunately, it was the day before Christmas so I had no time to throw a party together. It seems like such a wonderful holiday get together (I like the "girls only" idea.) I kept talking about it over the dinner table with my family. They all thought I was a little nuts getting excited over a cookie swap. I told them that my New Year's Resolution is to make more time for friends to fit into my daily crazy, wonderfully full life. A Cookie Swat seems to be a great start. Unfortunately I have to wait a year, but what a party it will be with a year to plan. Thanks for your ideas. Kim

This is my idea of a really great website. I have been collecting cookie recipes for years, although I wind up making the same four or five recipes over and over because those are the ones people ask for. I enjoyed reading your recipes. Many thanks.

Sorry I missed the exchange this year...judging from the newspaper articles, it was a huge success and I was the only one who had a senior moment and forgot! I do apologize, and hope to get back into the fray next year! Merry Christmas to all of you from all of us!

Robin, I tuned into TV Food Network for the Cookie Exchange. It was reassuring to know there are many others out there that go through the horrors. Just yesterday I sent eight dozen cookies, (Double-dipped Hazelnut Crisps), with my husband to work. It was our first official cookie exchange. Three long days of baking, dipping, burning, soggy, waiting! I am exhausted. After watching you in action I have learned many new ideas and tricks. I am not only exhausted, but very excited for next year to roll around. You were wonderful! Thank you, Beth (NY)

Robin, I enjoyed seeing your cookie exchange that was televised on the food Network. It looked like soo much fun I am thinking about holding an exchange too. I read your reasons for making cookies with flour as the base ingreadient. One of my favoite cookies is an almond macaroon recipe from my grandfather who owned an almond processing factory in Brooklyn. Another favorite cookie is a florentine which I havn't made in quite some time, but seem to remember the main ingredients being oats. If you have time I am wondering if you would tell me if these type of cookies would lend themselves towards following year invitations. Thanks for your great cookie exchange ideas, Noah Peckler

I caught your Cookie Exchange on T.V. and really admired your Holiday spirit. Your website is really fun I book marked it so I can go through it all after the holidays. I have a question for you. I've known my husband for four years and we've been married for 1 this past October. He likes to hunt and finally caught a deer. Do you have any venison receipe. If you don't maybe you can lead me on the right direction. I've never had venison and I'd like my first experience with it to be a good one. Thanks.

Great Show. You probably don't get too many men responding, but I had to tune in to watch the show. I loved it. I picked up a lot of great recipes that I plan to use for the years to come. Now I am no expert in the kitchen, but I do know my way around. Growing up both of my parents worked, so quite often it was myself and my siblings cooking for ourselves. I don't cook often because of my work schedule, but I do once in awhile. If I'm in the kitchen, I prefer baking. I look forward to next's year exchange and picking up some additional recipes. Happy Holidays Michael

I love this site and found out about it when I saw your show. Q: When the exchange starts, how do people pick? Do you just pick some of the ones you want until you have 6 dozen? Or do you need to take a minimum of each until they are gone? Since the number of people attending changes, I'm not sure how it works. For years I have tried to get a cookie exchange going without much success. I now see the key - inviting lots of people with a set amount of cookies to bake. I tried to be too selective in who I invited and I invited too few people. How far in advance of Christmas do you hold your exchange?
