Hello, Robin! By chance, caught your special on the FoodTV network on cookie exchanges! What a great feeling to somehow be connected to all these wonderful bakers across N.America. Between 12 and 14 friends in our small rural community have been having a slice/cookie exchange for four years now. We love the preparation, the stories, the closeness and of course, the recipes and food! Our husbands and partners have now learned what they recieve out of this event and encourage our evening out! Thank-you to all the beautful women who shared their stories and styles of their Christmas kick-off! Glenda Danbrook Avid cookie lover/baker

I am enjoying your page. My husband and I just moved here from Ga. and I am thinking of hosting a cookie exchange party for the ladies on our street so that I might get to know all of them. There would be about 12 ladies in all. I really had not planned to do a lunch, but maybe just finger sandwiches and a dessert, as some of these ladies I have not even met yet. What do you think? Advise appreciated! Thanks, Kay

Robin, I found your web site when I decided to host a cookie exchange and didn't have the first clue of what to do. I made invitations and hand carried them to my guests (they were quite elaborate, if I had your address I'd mail you one). Anyway, my exchange is coming up so I decided to check back to your site and was excited to see the Food TV program information. I'll be watching. Enjoy and have a wonderful holiday season. I've used your suggestions for our cookie exchange party that will be next week, 12/9/01. I really appreciate your ideas. Some people are really nervous about baking these cookies!!! This is my first cookie exchange party. My neighbor and I decided to do it to get the neighbors together during the holiday season. There's still alot to do! I'm really excited, though. Wish us luck!! Thank you!!!
