I was interested in having a cookie exchange party and have always heard about them but have never been to one. So I thought about having one myself. I have lived here in this neighborhood for 10 months and think it is a fun way to get the neighborhood together. Your ideas, recipes, invitations have really helped. Thank You, Linda

Suggestion:My daughter and I make our own 'containers' by purchasing round cake trays, placing a doilly on top and covering it with saran wrap. We than make cellophane bags for each tray by ironing the celophane to the size bag we need. Each guest leaves with a professional looking bakery tray. Don't forget to tie each bag closed with some beautiful curly Christmas ribbon!

Hi There, I am hosting a Cookie Exchange at work for the second year. It is quite fun and it gets alot of people in the Christmas spirit. There will be 14 attending so we will all bake 7 dozen cookies and each person wraps their cookies in half dozens. Since it is at work and we don't have much time we each take a package from everyone and we leave with 14 different types of cookies. We will bring in extras for "taste test" also :) It is great fun :) I enjoyed your website :)

All your receipes sound really great. I am after (for my two boys) a soft Cookie receipe. I lost my receipe from last year and my boys are not very happy. I know it contained plain flour, sugar, butter but cannot remember the exact ingredients. If possible, can you assist me??

Robin, I've used your web site the last couple of cookie exchanges and I love it! It really gets me in the holiday spirit. Some people gave me grief last year because I decided to send your "Rules of the Cookie" exchange with the invitation, but it yielded great results. Hey, they are asking me when it is this year! Thanks again! Stephanie

Great Site! I've decided to host my first cookie exchange in my home this year. About five years ago I organized a cookie exchange but we met at a restaurant and just passed the cookies around the table. I searched under "Cookie Exchanges" because I needed to refresh my memory on the rules. I found more info than I expected. Thank you very much.
