GOP Losing Advantage With Married Moms

"After winning over moms in back-to-back elections, Republicans have lost their advantage among married women with children this year. "

So apparently, I'm not the only one.

My grievances:

1) I am sick of this war and my heart hurts for all the parents who have lost children.
It's time to "cut and run". We won't be able to change anything over in the middle east. There will never be democracy. Those people are non reasoning animals. It will probably go down in the history books as "Vietraq".

2) The 109th Congress only bothered to work one day a week and the only bills they attempted to push through were "good ole' boy" pet pork projects. Bridges to no where (Ted Stevens R-AK), estate tax repeal Bill Frist R-TN), take the internet away from the average consumer and hand it over to Comcast, Verizon...

3) They didn't balance the budget and so we'll have to wait for the lame duck Congress after elections 2006. The multi trillion dollar Deficit!!! We are in debt for the next 3-5 generations. Clinton handed Bush a BALANCED budget. What a 'legacy' for our childrens future! I wouldn't be surprised if Bush goes down as the worst President of all time.

4) Lobbyists: Congress should be doing "the peoples work"....as in what Abe said:

... under God, shall have a new birth of freedom--and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." ...

We elected these people to represent US. I believe that lobbyists and the purchasing of legislation is the absolute worst enemy of "the people". Basically wealthy people and corporations are able to "BUY" legislation. It's Bullshit!

Unfortunately, I think Nancy Pelosi is too leftist/San Fran Communistic to lead the Dems and have any bi-partisan work get done. (Clinton, who was a centrist, got it right by trying to work with both sides. Bush doesn't even try. He's too arrogant.) Anyway, I hope she doesn't scare too many voters away. However, I did LOVE her "Drain the Swamp" comment and her Day One agenda: Put new rules in place to "break the link between lobbyists and legislation."

So we'll see how she pans out.

5) Immigration:
What took our elected officials in this country so long to figure out we had a problem of this magnitude? If you come to this country, learn to speak English, please! If Hispanics had made an attempt to assimilate, people wouldn't want to get rid of them so much. I went to a Home Depot last week and all the large signage inside the store was in Spanish! And the Hispanics wonder why we are sick of them being here? Was I standing in Laurel, Maryland or was I in Tijuana?

Lastly, please Dems -- figure out a plan to help America... I am bored already with the negative ad campaigns from both sides. We still have nearly 4 weeks to go.
