May I have a little privacy please?
As everyone knows Kyra Phillips was caught on audio in the ladies room, due to her mike being left on.Here's a link (above) to her appearance on David Letterman doing "Top Ten Excuses for putting bathroom chatter on the air..."
I actually have a similar story, even though mine didn't make on the evening news.
In 1999, I did a FoodNetwork Holiday Special, where I was filmed at my house giving an annual Holiday Cookie Exchange. The camera man from Highnoon productions, Chris Wheeler said to me after I came out of the bathroom... "Um, Robin, when you go to the bathroom, can you please turn your mike off?" LOLOL!!!! I wore the mike all day and pretty much forgot I was wearing one.
I remember how completely embarrassed I was, so I can only imagine how Kyra felt! The David Letterman appearance was a great way to reduce the tension of her situation.
